The original is always the best. The Karate Kid 1984 ruled my brain for a couple of weeks! It was incredibly amazing. Pat Morita's bonsai tree cutting skills in the movie is nice, Ralph Macchio's amazing training techniques are better and badder.
The renewed version of the movie was a letdown, since Pat Morita died. it didn't amaze me, But the Karate Kid 1984 was awesome than the new one. I give it a FIVE!
