Review of The Karate Kid (1984) by Ida T — 18 Jan 2011
The Karate Kid is an all time classic. This movie could be seen by all age groups. The relationship between Mr. Miyagi and Daniel. Daniel doesn't have a father and Mr.Miyagi doesn't have a family.
They both are missing something in their lives but by having eachother it fills that empty space up. I loved that Johnny and all his friends thought he was going to beat Daniel in the end. Of course though, the better man won that fight.
I like how this movie shows that women are gaining more independence. Ali punches Johnny at the country club, Daniel's mother raised him all by herself. The fact that they are so independent is amazing.
This movie is forever a classic and will be watched for so many years to come.
