Review of The Karate Kid (1984) by Ashley M — 26 Sep 2009
The Karate Kid is a very good triumph movie. If you are in desperate need of a pick me up or a really good movie, please watch this. Despite it's typical 80's style look, it has a lot of story to it.
The main character "Daniel" is a very typical teenager that has just recently moved from his cold New Jersey town to a big warm California city. And the root of the story is him having an awesomely awkward time fitting in.
He is picked on tremendously by a group of local Karate club students. They use their agressive Karate style to bully Daniel around because he has his eyes on, you guessed it, the bullies ex-girlfriend.
The movie with this plot kicks off. It has the right emotional path and leaves you feeling victorious at the end. The movie is also very well acted. The scenes are very well put together. But like I said if you are in need of a feel good movie that has a really good story watch this movie.
You will not regret it.
