Review of The Karate Kid (1984) by Shane M — 09 Jun 2013
Best martial arts film ever, and best film of 1984. Very good story filled with lots of heart and humor, drama and comedy, yet is more of a PG-13 than PG movie. Shows how a kid can go from desperate and defense less to a karate master.
The romantic connection between Daniel and Ali was nice, and the film has perfect performances by all cast members, especially Macchio and Morita.
