From the Eighties synths to the bouffant hair on show (sported by both sexes) this is definitely an 'of its time' movie, Ralph Macchio delivering his script like he's being paid by speed of delivery.
Many a youngster's outlook in the Eighties must have been shaped for the good by this movie but its charm only goes so far. I'll be interested to see how the update compares.
