Yes... it's a teen-aimed Rocky in the karate world... yes, if this were real life, Daniel-san would get his ass handed to him... but the underdog story told here has warmth, charisma and of course, Pat Morita as Mr.
Miyagi, who is so damn good in this movie that he alone makes this wonderful movie worth watching; you'll just be brought along for the ride with all the other nice things this movie offers.
