The Jungle Book takes itself too seriously. There are moments of whimsy, but they almost feel out of place compared to the rest of the movie. Also, there is so much CGI in this film, they might as well have made it animated.
Much like the 1994 live-action remake, this isn't a bad movie, it's just not as enjoyable as the original.
