Review of The Jungle Book (1967) by Lisha De L — 05 Sep 2010
Of the classic era Disney animations, the Jungle Book is possibly it's deepest and most thoughtful one. So much of it is lost on kids when they see it young, but the characters are as memorable as any.
Baloo is the break-out star of this one and ends up somehow getting his own spin-off cartoon almost 30 years later that's set in a completely different world and setting. That alone makes this a pop-culture oddity.
