Review of The Jungle Book (1967) by James R — 25 Jun 2014
Another Disney masterpiece. This was Walt Disney's final animated film that he supervised before his untimely death. The film should just about be familiar to anyone, but here's a slight recap.
The movie is about a boy named Mogli who has grown up in the wild. The panther Bagheera is taking him to a man village, so that he may life the rest of his life amongst his own people. The ferocious tiger Shere Khan is after them, so they must hurry fast.
They meet the lovable bear Baloo, the trickster snake Kaa, and the goofy king ape Louie along the way. The animation shows its age a bit here, but the story has a lot of heart and features some classic songs.
Overall, I don't need to say much its a classic Disney film that's near and dear to a lot of us. If you've been living in North Korea for the last 40 years do yourself a favor and check it out!
