Review of The Jungle Book (1967) by Jon C — 06 Feb 2016
A Disney story with that good ol' jungle beat and vibe.
Takes the same route as Tarzan with a baby human being raised by animals of the wild.
Mowgli is the only man-cub of his kind in the jungle making it difficult for him to belong to any class.
He comes across Baloo and Bagira that guide him to what he really wants to be; stay in the jungle or live as a man.
Hilarity ensues as he also comes across King Louie of the apes, Ka the snake and Shere Kahn the tiger.
Shere Kahn is out for blood but Mowgli is confident enough to watch over himself.
And as with many of the movies released it has an exciting climax to wrap up Mowgli's decision.
Funny jokes, catchy songs, and a message of choosing where you truly belong to feel right at home.
