Review of The Judge (2014) by Tatsuhito K — 29 Nov 2014
The father-and-son drama works and Downey Jr. and Duvall are good at what they do. The rest of the movie, however, is overstuffed, overlong, and overly sentimental at times. The court scenes look too dark aesthetically, the lighting and color correction and saturation feel a little too much.
It's pretty formulaic and there's nothing outstanding about it, but The Judge is still worth seeing just for the interaction between Downey and Duvall.
