Review of The Judge (2014) by Derrick B — 16 Jan 2015
This has a lot of father and son relationship situations and in those, has a lot of ups and downs. A lot of history with the Palmer family and we know what's up for each of them. The most, of course, RDJ's character, Hank Palmer.
Everything seems to revolve around him and we know a lot of his background along the way. Everything takes place at his hometown and so they left out whatever that's going back at where Hank currently lives at.
Overall, the movie is truly amazing. Quite captivating while Hank doing at what he is successful at, being a lawyer. It was unexpected that Billy Bob Thornton was in this movie and he did quite well as usual.
A good actor, I suppose. It's good to see his performance again. I had no idea Vera Farmiga is in this one as well. I couldn't recognize her at first but her face was so familiar that I had to make sure it was her.
Love her in The Conjuring. Amazing actress. This is one film that gives you a very high emotional rollercoaster with actual funny moments. In the end, you know it's another good film, nonetheless.
