Review of The Judge (2014) by Susan T — 07 May 2015
Weighing in at 2 hrs 12 min, this movie is at least 45 min too long. It lacks a clear direction and introduces red herrings -- for example (spoiler alert), at the end, when the bad guy's mom puts her head in her hands to cry, I thought she wd turn out to be the judge's -- well, anyway, she didn't.
So why's she crying?? And whassup w/ that scene in the bedroom, and the little box? Finally, RD jr was unremittingly scowls-face. It woulda been nice if he'd relaxed at least once, softened his face, his voice, his movements.
