This well directed and well acted film is really about more than meets the eye. Though slow paced at first, it maintains interest through effective comic relief and the introduction of several subplots, though the majority of these ultimately prove to be irrelevant or unresolved.

While I enjoyed the film, I felt that it buckled under the weight of its own complex plot, meaning that the main message did not hit home as well as it might have.
