Review of The Judge (2014) by Wayne M — 23 Nov 2015
Solid functional film that never soars. It's a family drama wrapped inside a courtroom drama. But it's too long and lapses into cliche and melodrama. Hank is a big time Chicago lawyer that returns to his family hometown for his mother's funeral.
But he gets involved in his family's drama, primarily that of his father, 'The Judge'. Performances are solid but this film lacks flair or true grit.
