Terrible writing, mediocre performances, boring, bad scene cutting, just didn't even feel like they really tried as much as just put out the movie as quickly as possible. maybe were more concerned that Duvall might die before they finished filming, but that still doesn't seem like a good excuse.
Lame attempt to try and tug at people's heart strings, which I guess sorta worked.
