I have 2 brothers and Dad was a lifelong public servant and a pretty fair curmudgeon so much of this story line hit home. As a rule, I discount, even despise "professional" critics. This film had everything! I saw it in theaters when it was released, and I own it now.
Most any specific scene description that I might like to review is a spoiler because the character development is ongoing from the start, and there is discovery at every turn. Please just enjoy it for what it is .
. . . an epic journey of an American family! NOTE: This is why I despise "critics" . . . . collectively they call The Judge rotten at 47%. Us ordinary viewers give it 72%.
