Obviously written by men, it rang true, very very true, in the relationship between the three brothers and the Dad. In fact, it was excellent, until we got to the fakey part. A woman is supposed to have NOT told the father of her child, who LIVED IN THE SAME TOWN, that he was the Dad, for 18 years.

That is probably why the movie flopped. Got news for ya. The kid goes CRAZY if you don't tell them who their Father is. That was such a crock of shit, it ruined the movie. Fatherless? In a small town? And she's "just fine with that.

." yeah, tell me another. If that's true, why are half the stories on Unsolved Mysteries about adopted children searching relentlessly for a parent? Some parts of this movie were so good, so true, that maybe that is what made the unbelievable parts stick out like a sore thumb.

They needed a woman on that script. The men characters are three Dimensional, and the women characters are way off, not in terms of acting (everybody in this movie can really act!) but in terms of the writing.

Hey, dudes, seriously, children take KNOWING WHO THEIR DADDY IS QUITE SERIOUSLY. That lady would have had it beaten out of her hide in a small town, trust me on this one.
