Review of The Jazz Singer (1927) by Richard H — 16 Jan 2008
Aside from "You ain't heard nothin' yet!" and what that line came to symbolize and mean with the coming of talking to film, it's really nothing special. The story isn't great.
It's value is largely historic and it's appeal is those interested in film history. I don't take that into consideration, though, when rating it, just how good I felt it was by itself. For the history, I felt it was cool.
