Review of The Jazz Singer (1927) by Lord N — 04 May 2010
Al Jolson plays a man who follows his dreams of becoming a Jazz Singer although it's against his parents wishes.
This movie is famous for being the first sound picture which it makes it historical important instead of great. The plot isn't that great and it feels like it drags most of the time. Still, it's neat to watch a film switch between silent film and sound film.
