Review of The January Man (1989) by Randy T — 14 Jul 2010
I remember hearing about this movie when I was a kid, and I finally got to see it, and I can see why people thought it was cool for it's time. It kinda reminds me of some of the characters that you see in tv shows from today who are really smart yet have trouble relating to people, (Spencer Reid from Criminal Minds, I am looking at you here) anyway.
The overall story is pretty cool, a guy killing seemingly random women in their apartments with the cops having no clue how to catch him or stop him, so they turn to former cop who got booted out for some reason (you never quite know what the heck happened) who is a genius and also the chiefs brother to figure it out.
The cast is pretty good and although it is very 80's it still is a good movie when watched now, and who wouldn't want Alan Rickman to paint birds in their apartment.
