This movie started out slow but ended well. It embodies the essence of Jane Austen's various books all in one movie with many of the same themes as are discussed by the book club. If you want a feel for Jane Austen as an author, this is a much better choice than "Becoming Jane".
It shows the scope of her work in a funny, touching, and witty way. It's got romantic stories that are realistic and heartwarming.
