I am such a fan of Austen's books and to see the plot of six of her books becoming the life of six people in the 21st Century is just absolutely beautiful. Their conversations, their discussions about the books- as a person who's read all the books, I understood the inside jokes, the humour, the character analysis. I could relate to the 5 women so much! Though, I guess, if you haven't read Austen you probably can't appreciate the movie that much.
The cast was simply fabulous. Great acting, beautiful depiction and excellent direction. And of course, Hugh Dancy ;).
