Review of The Jacket (2005) by Adamm W — 22 Jul 2008
This movie is on my all-time favorites list. Only a few movies pull me into them enough to actually disappoint me when I realize the end is coming. Not that this movie is predictable, but after the hour mark I found myself dreading that the story was soon to be over. A man without a memory put in a place where people are forgotten finds himself under the exotic psychotherapy of the head doctor. Unknown to everyone but himself, the treatment temporarily pushes his mind to the future where he must play sleuth to uncover the mystery of his own death.
While a bit sci-fi, there are no high dollar hollywood special effects to note, to blazing car chases and no impending doom on mankind. It's one man against time, in more ways than one.
