Review of The Jackal (1997) by Jake D — 02 Jan 2008
This fairly standardized globe-trotting action thriller features a monotonous performance by Bruce Willis as the undetectable assassin known only as the 'Jackal' and a somewhat amusingly cast Gere as an IRA inmate who is released temporarily by FBI's Deputy Director (Sidney Poitier) on the condition that he aids the authorities in tracking the 'Jackal' down before somewhere high up gets whacked.
What follows isn't particuarly surprising but it manages to hold interest for long enough.
