After having just seen the original tonight, I feel it's time I finally gave this one a proper review. This remake is far superior to the original for many reasons, mainly the writing, ending, and no real discontinuities.
This movie has charm, which is shown in it's writing...you can't see that in the original, even if they had tried. And this one seems altogether better constructed as a plot in general. Not perfect, but much better than the old one.
