"I trust everyone. It's the devil inside them I don't trust..".

The Italian Job remake is a damn good one, it's a modern touch up to a classic film. Director F. Gary Gray (Friday, Set It Off, The Negotiator, A Man Apart, Law Abiding Citizen) shot the film flawlessly, it's one of his best movies. A top notch heist film that delivers the spectacle and action in every scene, a caper that is well made and has copious amounts of humor, action, and style. The cast is star studded and top notch, so the acting doesn't suffer one bit, well acted all around. The special effects are second to none and the story is well written.

The action starts right in the first scene as Charlie Croker-Mark Wahlberg in one of his better roles-and his crew are about to pull off one of the biggest.

Gold heists ever. The crew assembles itself and heist is done perfectly, but someone in the group had double crossed them. The group of professional thieves is as follows: Charlie Croker, the planner-Mark Wahlberg; Lyle, computers-Seth Green; handsome Rob, car specialist-Jason Statham; Steve Frezeli, high tech gadgetry-Edward Norton; Stella, the safe cracker-the gorgeous Charlize Theron; and Ear, explosives-played by Mos Def. The group vows to get their stolen gold back at any cost. This sets the scene for a wild display of perfectly executed action scenes over true crowde streets of Los Angeles.

Its fun, it entertains, and it's a very well made little heist caper. It's definately not Heat, but it still holds it's own in the genre. If you are a fan of fast paced films then the Italian Job remake is for you.
