Review of The Italian Job (2003) by Cailyn B — 09 Nov 2011
I thought that the Italian Job was an okay movie; not good, not bad. The story made sense, for the most part, but if you looked away for even a second, you'd become momentarily confused. The movie for the most part, was entertaining, especially during the safe stealing scene in the way beginning.
I feel like part of the reason that I didnt' like the movie more is because the movie was so unrelatable and unrealistic. There's no way that any of the things portrayed in the movie could actually happen, so watching it was kind of pointless, to me.
I thought the crew was successful in having good camera angles during the chase and escape scenes. Unlike most movies, the angles didn't make you dizzy, during intense, fast-paced scenes. I thought the cast was okay, but felt as though they tried too hard to be funny, which was rather annoying.
Overall though, I give this movie 3 out of 5 stars, and a thumbs down.
