Review of The Italian Job (1969) by Andrew T — 16 May 2009
This is the perfect feelgood movie - a boys' own romp through the streets, sewers and shopping malls of Roma in a fleet of Minis. Of course, it's a comedy, but without the embarrassment of most - and the film is the perfect setting for Michael Caine's jewel of an accent.
There is a fair smattering of exoticars, too - although while I believe the Lamborghini Muira is toast, the Aston Martin DB4 still exists, undamaged. Phew...
