Review of The Italian (2005) by Gabriel C — 17 Dec 2007
Put a kid in a foreign movie with a sure to be tragic story line and you've got me. Of course only the Europeans could make this work, Hollywood would test the film to death and tack on a closed ending.
Absolutely exquisite. I so wanted Kolya to just give up and accept his fate but this film proves a childs love for an absent mother is constant. Highly recommend.
