Review of The Italian (2005) by Robert C — 04 Nov 2010
A young boy living in a Russian orphanage is scheduled to be adopted by an Italian couple. He longs to find his real mother so he breaks into the orphanage records to find out who she is and her last address.
So begins his wild tale of trains, buses, dark alleys and helpful strangers. Inspired by true events and winner of several international film festivals. A poignant tale of a broken country trying to take care of its own with little resources and an abundance of lost hopes.
