Review of The Island (2006) by Tiffiny H — 18 Sep 2012
This is one of those movies where I look at the rating and scratch my head. Why so low? I think this movie is great and I'm not the biggest action fan there ever was.
McGregor and Johansen were very good together and had great chemistry. Bean was a really great bad guy, I've only seen him play hero characters so that was a nice change of pace for me. The chase scenes were typical of a Bay movie, but still held my attention and were interesting.
Bottom lining it: This is a really great movie and apparently some critics need to lighten up a bit.
