Without a doubt Michael Bay's only film with any depth. Unfortunately, after the first hour the film's intriguing sci-fi premise is side-lined for typical ridiculous Bay action sequences. And what was with the awkward acting and line delivery by McGregor? Anyway, there are some interesting themes floating around in this popcorn flick.
