Review of The Island (2005) by Jeff L — 02 Jun 2014
There is nothing redeeming about The Island. Does anyone actually need all the hand holding that Bay tries to breast feed us? Isn't there a more subtle way to carry the plot along than what we get here? And for goodness sake, I'm all for willing suspension of disbelief, but can't we get movies where every second of survival doesn't depend on some lucky twist of fate? How does this stuff sell?
