Review of The Iron Lady (2011) by Jeremyp — 10 May 2012
A great performance by Streep who does her chameleon brilliance. The story however makes a fundamental error which sinks it. The decision to spend half the time in Thatcher's dotage (so Meryl can show off her prosthetics??) instead of giving us a decent biopic makes the movie dull and nothing but a set piece for some of her speeches and harangues.
They should have called this "The Lead Lady.
