Review of The Iron Giant (1999) by William J — 29 Aug 2012
A classic. Little else to say. Brad Bird, the visionary who later brought us The Incredibles, Ratatouille, and even Mission: Impossible - Ghost Protocol, started with this box-office dud, that deserved more than it got.
The incredibly touching, poignant and gorgeous film, based on the Ted Hughes story, is arguably one of the best animated films of the late 20th century, and a testament to Bird and his craft.
