Review of The Iron Giant (1999) by Tungis G — 31 Mar 2013
Brad Bird directed home run. Touches on important life lessons with a whimsy tale that makes you forget you are watching an animated feature. Subtle but Brilliant. Due today's political climate some might think its a little preachy regarding the current hot button issue of gun control but the references to guns in the movie and the apparent judgement of them is just a vehicle to help deliver the empowering message of "you are who you choose to be".
If you are so hung up on the buzz word politics of today that it spoils a wonderful and brilliant film created a decade and a half ago you need some help. This is one of my favorite films.
