Review of The Iron Giant (1999) by Simon T — 20 Aug 2015
Perfect animated feature. No wise-cracking, a focus on story, and some of the most beautiful draughtsmanship ever. Brad Bird (The Simpsons, The Incredibles, Mission Impossible 4, Tomorrowland) stages events with sly references to 1950s movies, but kids - and adults - will enjoy the simplicity of the boy's friendship with a giant robot.
