Review of The Iron Giant (1999) by Joe M — 27 May 2012
What an incredible film. It was intense, suspenseful, heart-warming, funny, and even dramatic at sometimes. The interaction with the Kid named Hogarth and the Iron Giant were some of the most interesting things to watch.
This is easily one of the best animated films, that I have ever seen, and I am ashamed it fell under my radar for so long. The film does an excellent job of pulling in the audience, and setting up and developing the characters that its perfect, and they did it all in a short amount of time.
My only problem was that it seemed like it took a bit longer than I was expecting to get the kid and the Giant to be friends. However, that did not take much away from the overall quality of the film.
I highly recommend this film for everyone, it is a much watch.
