Review of The Ipcress File (1965) by Sean H — 06 Nov 2007
Easily the finest film ever made - no contest. Caine shines as Harry Palmer, the downbeat, cynical anti-Bond. Sidney Furie's creates a '60s spy masterpiece, with his eerie voyeuristic camera angles, whilst John Barry's haunting, jazz-tinged score is worth the entry price alone.
Quite possibly the coolest film ever, closely followed by From Russia From Love.
