Review of The Ipcress File (1965) by Christian G — 14 Jun 2007
A great alternative to the oldschool Bond, set in London during the Cold War espionage of the 1960s. Produced by James Bond co-producer Harry Saltzman and assisted by several prominent members of the Bond production family, this comes as no surprise.
It is however no Bond-clone, but a deeply serious portrayal of the hazardous life of a spy.
