Review of The Invitation (2016) by Bleek S — 20 Apr 2016
Picture about an hour of gruelingly awkward, strained, social acting... followed by a moderately interesting but ultimately short climax. That is what this movie delivers. It was the first movie I've seen without checking out the trailer and honestly I was ready to walk out half-way through.
People don't act like this in real life and as a result I couldn't "care" about any of the characters. Unable to invest, I was an unwilling invitee to a party I wished I could leave.
