Review of The Invitation (2016) by Jessie L — 14 Jul 2017
From the start everyone is hugging too much, the characters are unnaturally happy to see each other, and things just feel a bit off. The sense of unease builds into tension that stays throughout the entire film.
In the end the payoff is satisfying, the story is smart, and the movie is undeniably fantastic.
