Review of The Invitation (2016) by Nico S — 26 Jul 2016

This movie takes a long time for shit to really hit the fan, but when it does, it goes flying. The movie does a good job at demonstrating that something is really off, right from the start. It it just keeps escalating and escalating until finally the viewer is rewarded.

The acting is very, VERY good, I believed every tear, every sweat, every awkward moment and that's thanks to the actors and to the writer/director. This is a slow burn movie that not everyone is gonna be patient enough to watch, but for everyone else, it should be a good time.
