Review of The Invitation (2016) by Tiago G — 17 Aug 2016
While it tried a fresh approach it still felt to me a little unoriginal and full of ham fisted dialogue. The cinematography was most of the times beautiful but still out of place simply for trying to hard and actually being overdone.
In the end it has its moments of drama and emotion which will grip most spectators, and while the ending scene cuts with magnificence with a clever twist it still felt all in all very anticlimactic.
