Review of The Invitation (2016) by Pixelpiece X — 09 Jan 2018
A solid "Meh". Films like this work much better when it gives the audience all the evidence required for them to completely dismiss the main characters concerns; this film doesn't do that.
Everything in this movie, from the acting, the casting and the "clues" are all very blatantly obvious and they supply the audience with nothing to refute the feeling that something in the house is wrong.
The super obvious reveal also took far too long to come-about, which is extremely frustrating, for the reason stated above. 91% is grossly high for this film and far too common for pretentious critics here on RT.
