Review of The Invisible Woman (2013) by Marc " — 16 Sep 2013
This movie shot a tranquilizer dart into the fascinating true story of Charles Dickens and his actress mistress Nelly Ternen. Ralph Fiennes was convincing as Dickens, but Felicity Jones had the acting ability of a cardboard cutout.
She drained the life out of every scene she was in. The leads had such a shocking lack of chemistry, they might as well have been robots. Whether Dickens actually had a relationship with Nelly, consenual or otherwise, is debatable, but it was not remotely believable in this movie.
