Review of The Invisible War (2012) by Kat V — 01 Nov 2012
This is so COMPLETELY unacceptable it makes my blood boil. There is absolutely no reason why they can't hammer down on this issue and change rules and laws and straight up incarcerate sexual offenders not despite whether or not they're military, but ESPECIALLY because they are.
Everyone needs to watch this, everyone. Man, woman, civilian, military, no matter what nationality. Everyone needs to understand the severity of what is going on, and not ignore it. It's not just the military's issue, it's not just a women's issue, it is a human issue.
Imagine living in your home town, getting raped, then told to speak to your congressman about it instead of the police? The courts' official ruling is that "rape is an occupational hazard in the military" - are you fucking joking?
It's shocking that this still goes on in 2012, when the powers that be are completely capable of stomping the hell out of this problem.
