Review of The Invisible War (2012) by Rick N — 16 Dec 2012
A fantastic, if not frustrating documentary on the nature of sexual assault (it speaks greatly of what sexual assault looks like in the U.S. looks like at large, though the film examines it just in the military).
The film is deeply upsetting, but on some level demands change and invokes the idea that we can make that happen and that there are definitive steps that can make that happen. It paints a brutal yet emotive picture, and is hands down one of the best documentaries I've ever seen.
