I truly believe this is a wonderful and innovative LGBT-themed film. This is the one and only film I ever saw that represents the story of a teen with two gay fathers. Not in Italian cinema, not in international cinema and they look pretty real to me. Those who think that Paolo is overreacting to betrayal I think have never seen a couple split. I agree that the teen plot has typical situations of this sub-genre, but the film plays nicely subverting them. Also, don't forget it's a dramedy a bit of drama, and a bit of comedy with the clear intent to bring a controversial issue to a wider public. This is a political film in disguise. The actors Filippo Timi, and Francesco Scianna are good (but so are the rest of the cast) and the script is very good. The writer and director Marco Simon Puccioni has a script full of interesting twists and stage the action with a secure hand, without an unnecessary show of talent (he has demonstrated his cinematic art in previous films, so we know he has talent), he accompanies the scenes and the feelings of the actors in a discrete but effective way.

Life can be challenging especially when it is filled with prejudices and this mix with marital problems and coming of age issues. The film is good in balancing those things out and giving the characters room to breathe and entertainment for us to aim at the heart and brain. I must admit I laughed but I also shed a tear or two.
